Sculpture at the elementary school Bad Ischl at Concordiastraße 6, in the front yard near the street
This sculpture, like the sea lions next to it, was created by the sculptor Hannes Haslecker (see Onderdonk Fountain), and was created for the new elementary school, which was opened in 1963. It adorns the entrance to the school, and is made of conglomerate rock which Haslecker liked to use.
Both bears and sea lions can be found a few times among the master's works.
