On 7 April 2024, the Fire Brigade Museum Bad Ischl was ceremoniously opened. The Volunteer Fire Brigade of (Bad) Ischl was founded after the great fire in the market town of Ischl in 1865.
The museum exhibits objects and documents from after the great fire as well as from before, providing an insight into firefighting before 1865.
Being attentive to detail, the history of the fire brigade of Ischl is neatly presented with equipment, photos, certificates, flags and pictures.
The exhibition, which is well worth seeing, is open on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission: voluntary donation.
