The commemorative plaque is located at the "Café Ramsauer", where Girardi was a regular guest for decades.

He was an extremely popular singing comedian and actor at many venues including the Hofburgtheater and the theater in Ischl. Girardi had a summer residence in Ischl at Steinfeldstrasse 8 (see also: Girardi Villa).
