As a representative of a number of lion sculptures that appear in various places in town, the Lions Club Lion is presented here. In 2001, on the occasion of its 40th birthday, the Lions Club Bad Ischl deployed forty lions around town under the "Lion Safari" motto. Businesses sponsored the individual lions and the proceeds of the campaign benefited those in need.
The life-size male lion sculptures are made of plastic (polyester cover, foamed inside) in different colors and patterns or have the sponsor's logo.
