In the Kaltenbachau, on the trail along the racecourse
In memory of the beginning of WWI and the two towns connected by fate (Bad Ischl and Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina)), the alley in Kaltenbach (Sissi Park) was named "Sarajevo Alley".
On 28 July 2014, the mayors of Sarajevo and Bad Ischl met to plant a peace tree and name the alley. The ceremony was also attended by the mayor of the twin town Gödöllö (Hungary) and Maximilian Aichern, Bishop emeritus of Linz.
The plaque is made of Untersberg marble and was attached to a stone.
On 24 April 2015, the mayors of Bad Ischl's twin towns visited Sarajevo Alley in Sissi Park on the occasion of the opening of the State Garden Show.
