Salzburgerstrasse 14
On the façade of Salzburgerstrasse 14, there is an ornately decorated sundial (south clock), dated 1783. At the time the fresco was made, the house was called Eder House at the Ischl Slope (Ederische Behausung in der Ischlleiten).
The decoratively designed sundial shows the Holy Trinity at the top.
At the top left, you can see a medallion with a sower and the following saying: Every moment of time, a seed is for eternity.
The medallion at the top right is a fighter and a devil with a human shape. Saying: So make the most of every minute, lost time will never come back.
In the middle of the clock are the clock numerals and a wanderer. Saying: Here wayfarer, no place of residence for you, look to and travel on to your fatherland.
Medallion in the lower left shows the purgatory. Saying: Who will spare an hour for me to repent of my sins?
Medallion lower right: charnel house with skulls. Saying: Where are my days and hours, all of them have disappeared like smoke.
Saying at the bottom: As the river carries a ship to high sea, so time sweeps me away from here to eternity. 1783
