Theodor Leschetizky purchased this beautiful villa after he had visited his beloved Ischl every year since 1879. The street was later named after him.
Composers but also many former students of the piano teacher were guests in the villa.
A favourite place of the artist on a little hill with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and into the Wolfgangtal valley is the so-called Leschetitizky-Höhe. It is located in the part of Ischl called Ahorn.
