Villa Orion

Old villa at the foot of Mount Katrin

A little off the beaten track, this villa is located on Lauffner Waldweg, partly in the woods. A very old footpath leading to Lake Nussen (Nussensee) runs past the villa. If you take the path, you’ll pass the famous Snowdrops Meadow and the birthplace of Professor Joseph Ramsauer. After that, the path leads up to an area called Rabennest, or “Raven’s Nest”. A bit farther and you finally arrive at Lake Nussen.

The house itself dates back to the beginning of the 20th century and at that time, it was already built to accommodate guests.
