Kaiser Franz Josef Straße 2
Mayor from 1898 - 1905
Karl Wiesinger was a merchant and property owner. He was an honorary member of the men's singing club, the volunteer fire department, and other associations. In 1904, he was named an honorary citizen. During his time, the river regulation was completed, the citizens' school was built, the electricity plant in Weinbach was established, and the road by the spa park was laid out. As a permanent member of the Finance Committee, Wiesinger had already tried to get the municipality's finances in order during his work on the municipal council, which he continued to pursue as mayor. On January 7, 1905, Karl Wiesinger took his own life due to the stress and a dispute over the introduction of electricity.
In 1919, Wiesinger Street was named after him.
