The bark "Christ at Rest" chapel is a depiction of a bark chapel from the 19th century – the last original in the municipality. Within the chapel, there is a life-sized wooden sculpture of the suffering Christ, sitting, his arm propped up as a gesture of lamentation. Because of this gesture, sculptures of this kind are  sometimes called "toothache Christ" in the common vernacular).

The small chapel is made of unprocessed thin poles and pieces of branches, and the walls inside are covered with bark. The chapel rests on a quarry stone base. During the last restoration (1995-96), it received a shingle roof again.
