In Perneck, in the centre of the village
The chapel is located east of the bridge over the Sulzbach River in the centre of the village, on the edge of the new village square.
The chapel was built by the Perneck village community and inaugurated in 1983. It has no predecessor.
The chapel, designed in traditional forms, is a slightly larger Gothic brick building with a quarry stone base and a domed roof turret with a bell. The roof is extended over the entrance on two wooden pillars. Inside, there is no ceiling, but the roof structure is boarded up. On the front wall, there is a picture of “Mary of Good Hope” with an inscription. Noteworthy furnishings are the stained glass portraits of “St. Florian” and “St. Christopher" in the pointed arch windows, and the war memorial plaques from 1924 and 1950 that were previously at the Perneck fire brigade station, whose relocation was the actual reason for the chapel's construction.
