According to tradition, to express her gratitude for her husband's recovery, Mrs. Elise Eggmüller, owner of the nearby house at Traunreiterweg 25, commissioned master builder Huber to build the chapel in 1865.

The roughly square chapel has a strongly curved tent roof. Noteworthy in the flat-vaulted interior is the cult image, which was donated in 1865 and later renovated by Karl Wutschl. Also impressive are the grille from the original chapel and a prayer bench as well as the Fludergraben marble foundation plaque with attached holy water basin.
