Next to the bridge over the Ischl River, on the road B 158, at the Nussensee intersection
When the road B 158 was realigned in 1936/37, the bridge over the Ischl River was also rebuilt. It is named after the nearby old Schneiderwirt inn, at Ramsau 1, which was demolished in 1978. The cross was made in 1937 by the well-known carver Franz Binder from Lauffen (buried in Steinbach am Attersee), who was particularly famous for his nativity scenes. The bridge was rebuilt in 1982. The cross was also moved and restored at that time, but was restored again and moved next to the bridge in 2015.
It is a quite large cross (three-nail type) made of oak wood with repoussé work on the sheet-metal roof. In the base, there is an inscription of “1937”.
During the last restoration, the body was painted gray.
