On the occasion of the 50th anniversary on the throne of Emperor Franz Joseph in 1898, the anniversary trail and inscription were created by the Salzkammergut department of the German and Austrian Alpine Club (Deutscher und Österreichischer Alpenverein). Until 1908, a turnoff led to the Hoisenrad mountain pasture. Along the picturesque and still very popular trail, there are two viewpoints: Engl-Stone and Jubilee Hut. And on a striking rock face at the Hubkogl quarry is the inscription: God save our emperor !   1898 (Gott erhalte unseren Kaiser ! 1898). On the occasion of the 100th anniversary in 1998, the lettering was redrawn, but for unknown reasons repainted in gray with the result that the inscription was not very noticeable at the moment.

In 2023, the dedication plaque, donated by the Salzkammergut department of the German and Austrian Alpine Club (Deutscher und Österreichischer Alpenverein), was found in a garden. It was almost illegible. The Cultural Heritage Society of Bad Ischl (Ischler Heimatverein) had the plaque restored, and master stonemason Günter Brucker also made the inscription on the rock visible again. Since 2024, the plaque and its inscription have been greeting all hikers again, and are a reminder of earlier times.
