In the woods of Mount Zimnitz (extended Eiskapellen trail), between the car park and the houses of the Eiskapellenweg, at the foot of the slope
The fountain was built in 1929 by the members of the "Sunnseitern" social club. The club was founded by Ignaz Heim to focus on the ideas of nature conservation. The “Sunnseitn" is the area of Haiden and Kreutern at the foot of Mount Zimnitz, where the sun shines for the longest time. The fountain was last restored in 1992.
The basin, which is unfortunately almost always waterless, and the structure are made of quarry stones with cement mortar, as well as a stone slab embedded aboce the basin with an inscription. The inscription’s poem “Fountain Farewell” ("Quellenabschied") is by Heim. In front of the fountain there are two benches. On the road a few meters south of the fountain is the concrete spring tapping, which probably "dug the water out" of the fountain.
