On Obereckstrasse, at house No. 6, in the garden on a small hill next to the road
The mine locomotive, which was in service from 1952 until the closure of the show mine in 2001 in the Maria Theresia Main Tunnel (“Maria-Theresia-Hauptstollen") at Radgrabenstrasse 2, was to be scrapped. However, an enthusiast bought the locomotive, restored it, and set it up in his garden in 2009/10 as a sort-of mining museum.
The locomotive was built in 1951 by the German company Ruhrthaler Maschinenfabrik Schwarz & Dyckerhoff GmbH (Mülheim/Ruhr). It is actually in running condition. Together with one of the mine wagons, formerly used for visitor transports, the locomotive was placed under a platform-like protective roof on a piece of mine track that leads to a symbolic tunnel mouth.
