Esplanade 10
This psalm is one of the so-called "pilgrimage psalms" and hangs as a house blessing above the entrance door of today's museum.
The Museum of the Township of Bad Ischl has been located in this building since 1989. Before that, the building was the Hotel Austria for about 100 years. The inscription is still on the façade of the building.
From 1834, the parents of Emperor Franz Joseph stayed on the first floor of the building during their visits in Ischl. The Emperor himself celebrated his engagement to Duchess Elisabeth “Sisi” in Bavaria in 1853.
