In Perneck, above the former salt mines
The mountain chapel in Perneck was built in 1751 by order of the Austrian Archduchess Maria Theresia.
Since 1786 (five years after the Patent of Toleration of Emperor Joseph II), Catholic and Protestant services have been held in this little church, which is quite exceptional in terms of ecumenism, which only found acceptance with the Second Vatican Council (1962 - 1965).
