During the Austrio-Hungarian monarchy, many famous people visited the well-known villa.
1938 the owner of the villa was expropriated and in 1939 the administrative division Reichsgau Upper Danube was the new owner. Dr. Georg Landauer and his family were able to leave Bad Ischl for England. In 1943, Landauer died in Tunbridge Wells.
1948 the villa was given back to Dr. Adolf Landauer
The architectural style of the villa is very interesting. Many years after its construction, the villa was reconstructed in Tudor style and which is still visible today. Worth seeing is the staircase in the villa.
The villa is now the private property of the Landauer’s heirs, who make great efforts to keep the unique building in good condition.
