The in very good condition villa has a tower and includes a park.
The first owners:
In 1867, sixty-five Austrian Klafter were separated from the "Eglmoos" property and bought by Mrs. Katharina Haller. She built a house in the same year. In 1870, the property was purchased by Knight Moritz von Thoren and extended by 104 Austrian Klafter.
He then had a new building built, which he called "Thoren Villa". In 1900, it became the property of noblewoman Theresia, Edle von Thoren. From 1914 until 1917, Baron Moritz Kuhn von Kuhnenfeld was the owner of the villa.
The author of this text Franz Federspiel received a drawing of the Thoren Villa dated 1886 and reports:
Baron Franz von Krauss was a guest at the Thoren Villa in August and September 1886, according to the corresponding lists of spa guests. Krauss was an architecture student at the Technical University of Vienna and son of the eponymous Viennese Chief of Police. Franz von Krauss and Josef Tölk worked together as very successful architects. According to his curriculum vitae, Krauss was a very nimble draftsman, and of the business partners, was responsible for the artistic matters. Therefore, it is likely that the drawing was made by Krauss.
