Opposite the farmhouse, on the edge of the forest
The shrine was probably built in 1929 or shortly thereafter. The reason for the construction were the deaths of brothers Johann and Alois Windhager (of Ahorn 27). They died while trying to save a mother and her daughter (of the Plamberger family, of Ahorn 29). They became trapped by a downed power line caused by a storm. The mother and daughter survived, but their rescuers fell victim to the downed live wire.
Rare and particularly elaborate example of an Art Deco-styled shrine: The shrine has an altar-like structure made of concrete, and is diversely structured by plinths, cornices and projections with two embedded black granite slabs with inscriptions. On the upper part, there is a picture of Mary with Seven Swords flanked by two inset leaf tendril reliefs. Below the inscription is a heart-shaped lantern for a grave candle.
