No details are known about the construction history of the chapel. Its proportions suggest that it was built in the 18th century. In 1945, the old frescoes were replaced by pictures by Sepp Mayrhuber. Renovation works took place in 1970 and 2005.

The chapel is a rectangular building with a wide segmented arch opening, which was walled up at the bottom in the 20th century. For that reason, the interior is no longer accessible. The remaining opening is closed off by a neo-Gothic wrought iron grille. The strongly curved roof (with a patriarchal cross) protrudes above it. Inside, there are three frescoes in flat segmented arch niches: Mary with baby Jesus in local landscape, St. Christopher on the left, and the Resurrected One on the right.
