At No. 27, at the garden fence, opposite the junction of Auweg
According to an inscription in the roof truss that was discovered during the demolition of the old chapel, the chapel was built in 1846 and replaced by a relatively accurate copy in 2007. The substructure (hewn stone steps) was retained or reused, as well as the roof truss and parts of the furnishings (grilles, pictures).
The chapel is a walk-in wayside shrine with a circumferential cove and a tent roof, crowned by a gilded patriarchal cross with globe. In the flat-vaulted interior, behind a simple honeycomb grille, there is a picture of the Virgin Mary (print) and a Madonna of Lourdes. In front of the grille, there is a walled-in prayer bench, to the right a marble plaque with the names of soldiers from Sulzbach who died in the world wars.
