In the case of a monument like this - carefully executed from natural stone, which was certainly not cheap - one wonders why its erection has not been recorded in any documents or records. Nothing is known about this wayside shrine, except that a neighbor says that the shrine has been there since at least the 1920s.

The shrine without tabernacle is a square pillar made of red limestone, placed on a sloping pedestal. The monument has a characteristic stone helmet with a cross on top. In a niche with grille, there is a statue of the Virgin Mary made of plaster and underneath the inscription: “Saint Mary – pray for us!”
