The restorations were done on the initiative of the “Goldhauben-, Kopftuch- und Schwammerlhutgruppe”, a local, traditional female head dress society.
The rectangular walk-in wayside shrine with trapezoidal interior has a gable roof with a boarded gable and a wooden cross in it. Inside the chapel, behind a honeycomb grille, is a picture of the Virgin Mary. The granite elements inside and outside were added in 2002.
The chapel was badly damaged by a vehicle in 2020, but was restored by the Cultural Heritage Society Bad Ischl (Ischler Heimatverein). The picture of the Virgin Mary had been stolen and was replaced by a new one. The new consecration took place on 22 October 2021
