Some details:
On 16 October 2017, former mayor Georg Nitzler unveiled a commemorative plaque commemorating the White Horse Inn (Gasthaus zum Weissen Rössl) in Lauffen. The inn became Oscar Blumenthal’s (1852 – 1917) inspiration for his successful comedy The White Horse Inn. Exactly sixty years before the unveiling of the plaque (16 October 1957) Ralph Benatzky, the composer who had turned Blumenthal's comedy into its namesake, died.
